Brownies are everyone’s favorite. Frequently, they are one of the first recipes a beginning baker tries. Many of us remember helping our mom bake brownies as a child. Here is a delicious twist on an old favorite.

What You Need:

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

What You Need:

  • 1 6-ounce pkg. semisweet chocolate bits
  • 2 3-ounce pkgs. cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 graham cracker pie crust

How many times have you reached for the package of brown sugar on the shelf and found it to be hard as a rock? Do you just throw it out and head for the store for a new package?
